We have a “money jar” where we put all our loose change at the end of the day. We never miss it and it quickly accumulates into something worth talking about!
I’m linking up to 5 Minutes For Mom’s Tackle it Tuesday because yesterday I counted it all. The Grand Total?
$270.50
That’s right!!! Almost $300 buck-a-roos just waiting to be spent (or put in the house fund).
Count your change… or start saving it if you don’t already. It is a great way to teach your little one about different types of money and counting and saving…

Amazing, isn’t it? We had a large glass pig that was about a yard long and a foot thick and high, and we filled it with loose change over the years, and when we got ready to move out of our trailer and into the new house, we counted it. We had over a thousand dollars in there. We took hours to roll up the coins, and it paid for some of our moving expenses.
It’s painless savings!

Wow, that’s a lot of change! My mom saves her change for our kids when we visit. They usually get quite a bit of money to take to the bank.

That’s awesome!!! We save all of our change too and then use it for vacation funds.

How awesome – that must have been a big jar! I get excited to find a penny, so almost $300 would really thrill me 🙂 Oh, and I’m looking at the photo of your little girl with her doll … so sweet!

That’s some righteous cash!

Do you roll your change or do the machines at the grocery store? I just love emptying that piggie bank and squirelling the “new” money away!

My little ones consume all my change for school. I do manage to hide away a few bucks worth every now and again. Great job saving. That’s quite a bit of dough!

Thanks for the reminder. I’ve got several change jars around the house but none of them look as decorative as yours! Very chic!
