Mondays I like to share something I got. We all like to share a good deal, splurge, unique find or fun activity. If you got something awesome (or lame) recently and blogged about it, be sure to leave me a link to the post in the comments!
We headed up to Arrowhead Lake last weekend. You know the weekend it snowed 2 feet?!!
Awesome!
Anyway, before we left we realized we has no snow clothes.
Nothing.
We be-bopped over to Sears. I haven’t been in Sears forever. Nothing against Sears, there just isn’t one super close to us and I think of Wal-mart and other stores as being cheaper. Um… I was wrong! Sears is my new favorite store. REALLY! (You know I don’t get paid by any stores/brands for what I write, right??) There were markdowns everywhere. We got Eli’s snow jacket for $12! TWELVE DOLLARS!!! The tag said it was regular $90. It’s two jackets in one – they snap together. Super great quality, thick, pockets galore, lined with fleece with a zip on hood.
Cora’s jacket was $9. NINE DOLLARS!! It’s adorable with fur around the hood, super thick, lined with fleece, velcro around the wrists, and with sparkly flowers on the sleeve.
I can’t talk enough about what a great deal these were. We were just giddy with the great buy. They most definitely kept the kiddos warm. See…
There was TONS of other stuff on sale as well. I asked the cashier if there was a special sale going on and she said they are always having great clearances. I’m now pretty sold on Sears. I’m sure we’ll be going there again soon because Eli is quickly outgrowing all the older kiddos we get hand-me-downs from. He’s a giant.

Wicked good deals woman!! I’m so jealous you were up there for the big snow!

Wow, and I thought my $14 Kohl’s snow jacket for Garrett was a steal! You BEAT me again with your clearance sale wizardry Kara! I’m impressed!

No, $14 is amazing!! I love kohls for Brad’s work shirts.
We did find him an awesome golf jacket for $9 at sears too. I think it’s probably hit or miss though… definitely worth the trip for future “needs” though.

That is awesome! My kids have no snow clothes and we’ve been avoiding going up to the mountains because I didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for it. Guess I’m going to Sears…

Yes! We got ours at the Laguna Hills mall. There was one rack left and it was loaded with great stuff.

Haha! Remember I was just telling you that Sears is the only place close for me to shop (and I wasn’t too impressed). Though they did have the extra 40% off the clearance items (which seems to be a regular thing), so I got Iris a couple scooters (skirts with shorts underneath) for like $3/each or something. She, too, is outgrowing all the hand-me-downs. Thankful we both have a little one to hand down our own big kid stuff! Glad you found awesome jackets for the kids. They looks SO CUTE in the snow! Our kids still haven’t seen snow 🙁 (Maybe in 2012!)

LOL! I had forgotten!! I didn’t look at the women’s stuff but the kids and mens were great. The snow was awesome. They were spoiled though because they had 2 feet of fresh powder. It will never be that good again… or at least for a long time.
